To be truly happy, we need to define our own version of success — and follow it, not matter what. There is always more than one path to it. Society tells us that we need to spend X years doing Y, pay our dues, etc.,etc., but the reality is different for everyone. My greatfather used to joke: “All those whom I owe, I forgive…” — nobody owes you anything.

There is only one person whose permission you need to go do what you want. Yours.
