Three words

Sometimes, it all just feels too much. Too much expectation. Too much planning. Too much strategizing. Too much comparing myself to others.

In times like these, I remind myself that while I worry, life is happening. It keeps going — whether you enjoy it, whether you notice it, whether you like it or not — it KEEPS GOING.

Someone wise once quipped, “There are three words I learned about life. It Goes. On.”

Nobody likes patience. We all want things now — preferably, yesterday — and we want all of them. And yet, it’s patience that we all need most. Patience creates that much-needed white space in our minds and calendars in which we can do a seemingly obvious but nevertheless very important thing: notice.

Notice ourselves. Notice others. Notice life.

After all, whether we notice it or not, life goes on.
