Merely Do Your Job
It’s the only thing that matters.
It’s easy to get caught up in overthinking.
Where is this headed? Who am I? Am I doing the right thing? Will I pay rent this month? Will I ever become anyone special?
But here’s the catch: overthinking never got people anywhere — only doing did. And these things can’t co-exist. People who think more than do suffocate their own purpose.
So don’t think — do. Merely do the work.
Allow yourself the tranquility of focusing on what’s right in front of you — your immediate work.
“Do your job,” as football coaches say.
Don’t get stuck in concrete by overthinking. Your most important step is the next one.
